CSR Representation at Andhra Pradesh Cyber Security Summit 2018

From 27th to 28th April 2018, Andhra Pradesh will be hosting the “AP Cyber Security Summit 2018”. Inaugurated by the IT Minister of Andhra Pradhes, Shri Nara Lokesh, it is an event which brings together policy makers, civil society representatives and cyber security experts under one roof, this event is special for us because Mr Amitabh Kumar, Head of Media and Communications at CSR, would be representing our organization in the panel discussion entitled “Cyber Security from a Common Man’s Perspective”. He would be discussing the various initiatives CSR has undertaken in the field of cyber security, particularly our programs #SocialSurfing and #Tweesurfing, with Facebook and Twitter respectively.

About the event Mr Kumar had this to say “It’s a great initiative and I hope more states will catch up. I also wish we make this an inclusive discussion and not one limited to rich high caste men. Let’s include women, minorities, people from weaker economic sections. Until we ensure all are secure online, no one will be secure online. We have a lot of work to do, the journey is long; let’s take many more similar positive steps.”

The event is a one of a kind event as it adopts a multipronged approach to the understanding of cyber security, and aims to come up with concrete solutions towards to tackling of cyber threats and cyber crimes. We hope to see and be a part of many more such initiatives nationally and globally.
