CSR Team headed by Dr. Manasi Mishra, along with Ms. Namrata Mehta and Ms. Somya Bhatia conducted meetings with DDA in Narnaul on 5th July. The meeting with the Deputy Commissioner of Mahendergarh, Mr.Rajnarayan Kaushik; District Project Coordinator, Mr. Kapil Punia; and DPE, Dr. Hansraj Gujjar, for the implementation of “Sports for Girls” under BBBP Scheme was a great success.
Dr. Manasi Mishra briefed the deputy commissioner about the project. Taking keen interest in it, Mr. Kaushik had an hour long discussion with the CSR Team on the sex ratio of Haryana. Narnaul has the lowest sex ratio in Haryana which comes under Mahendergarh district. Agreeing on the social and economical factors explained by Dr. Manasi he also added on to our knowledge with his opinion. Expressing his delight, he directed the CSR Team to the District Project Coordinator Mr. Kapil Punia and DPE Dr. Hansraj Gujjar.
The officers informed us about the condition of sports facilities available in the area. After Dr. Manasi raised the issue of low enrollment of girls in sports, Dr. Hansraj based on his experience, explained hesitation, lack of motivation and knowledge to be the main causes. By sharing his insights, he suggested ways in which we can improve the situation such as organizing workshops and tournaments which correlated with our project’s implementation plans. The authorities assured us that they will help the CSR Team by providing the necessary data and in further arranging meetings with the coaches and trainers.
