Along with the generic health camp, particular attention was paid to eye checkups in collaboration with Sai Retina Foundation.

Access to health care in India is still limited with India falling short of the Millennium Development Goals to be achieved by 2015 especially with regard to mother and child health care (“State of the World’s Mothers 2014”, by Save the Children ranks India 142 out of 176 countries based on lifetime risk of maternal death, under-5 mortality rate, expected number of years of formal schooling, gross national income per capita, and participation of women in national governance).

Such continued quality initiatives by agencies like Centre for Social Research aim at furthering the proposed call for universal healthcare by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and attempt to fill in the gaps in governance and implementation until there are no more bridges to bridge.
